A: In this online storefront, Con Edison commercial customers can purchase LED lighting products from trusted suppliers with rebates applied to the order total in the cart, with no application necessary.
The UtilityGenius™ Commercial Storefront is only open to Con Edison commercial customers and their contractors. Accounts will be verified before checkout. Please have the account number and address information ready before purchase.
Q: Who is Encentiv Energy?
A: Encentiv Energy makes energy efficiency programs accessible, affordable, and actionable by helping utilities connect with more of their commercial customers. Since 2009, Encentiv has worked to improve how the market accesses utility programs. This began with software solutions that connected manufacturer products to every rebate program across the country, simplifying the rebate process and accelerating the sale of high-efficient products.
Q: What is UtilityGenius™?
A: In an effort to make rebate information more accessible, we launched UtilityGenius™, a free public energy efficiency platform, in late 2021. Our mission is to provide quick and easy access to utility rebate estimates and program information alongside qualified products to educate customers on product efficiency and cost savings through utility rebates. Since its public launch, UtilityGenius™ has become a one-stop resource for commercial customers just like you and is now well-recognized, with a widget on the ENERGY STAR® Energy Efficiency Rebates for Commercial Buildings page and other similar energy efficiency regional organizations and contractor sites.
Q: Who is eligible to receive these incentives?
A: Offers are valid for Con Edison commercial customers purchasing through the UtilityGenius™ Commercial Storefront only. The customer’s account must currently be in good standing. Certain quantity limits and restrictions may apply. Accounts will be verified before checkout. Please have the account number and address information ready before purchase.
All projects will be subject to post-inspection requiring a copy of the customer invoice and access to the installation site. Refusal to cooperate with these requests will result in a failed inspection. If it is determined during post-inspection that you do not qualify for the rebate, the credit card used for payment will be charged for the remainder of your order (any ineligible rebate sums).
Q: Where do these incentives come from?
A: Consolidated Edison offers their commercial customers incentives through the Con Edison Instant Lighting Incentive Program. Customers purchasing on the UtilityGenius™ Commercial Storefront will need to have a Con Edison commercial account in good standing. Please have your account number ready for verification at checkout.

Q: What are the requirements for completing a purchase on the UtilityGenius™ Commercial Storefront?
A: By completing a purchase on UtilityGenius ™ Commercial Storefront, you make these representations and agree to these terms and conditions:
a. You represent that you are not pre-approved for these rebates through another channel.
b. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
c .You agree to install the products at the address provided within 90 days of purchase.
d .You agree to the post-inspection process requiring a copy of the customer invoice and access to the installation site. Refusal to cooperate with these requests will result in a failed inspection, and you will be charged for the rebate that was deducted from your purchase price.
e. You authorize a charge to your payment method in the amount of the rebate if it is determined that for any reason your purchase does not qualify for the rebate.
f. You authorize the payment of a processing fee to Encentiv Energy Inc. in the amount of up to 25% of the rebate. This fee is non-refundable.
g. You agree that no one including the retailer/distributor/manufacturer, or any third party, has any liability or responsibility if the rebate is denied
h. You authorize us to disclose to the utility, administrator, credit card company or other payment processor, the information that you are providing to us.
i. You agree to comply with the terms and conditions of the applicable rebate program.
j. You understand that the utility and/or its administrator is responsible for the rebate program and determining eligibility for rebates and that the retailer/distributor/manufacturer and Encentiv Energy Inc. are not responsible if the rebate is denied.
